Mount Mottarone

Rising to 1,492 metres, Mount Mottarone is one of the most spectacular viewpoints on Lake Maggiore. Known as the "Mountain of Seven Lakes", its summit offers breathtaking panoramic views stretching across Lake Maggiore, Lake Orta, five other nearby lakes and the Italian and Swiss Alps, including the magnificent Monte Rosa massif.

Located between Lake Maggiore and Lake Orta, Mount Mottarone is a wonderful destination throughout the year. In spring, summer and autumn it offers an extensive network of hiking and mountain biking trails, while winter brings opportunities for snow sports and peaceful alpine walks.

At the summit you'll find traditional mountain restaurants and alpine refuges, the perfect place to enjoy local cuisine while taking in one of northern Italy's most unforgettable landscapes.
